Michelle Lee named as USPTO’s new deputy director

Michelle Lee has been appointed as the next deputy under secretary of commerce for intellectual property and deputy director of the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Lee is currently the director of the USPTO’s Silicon Valley satellite office. Before that she served two terms in the office’s Patent Public Advisory Committee.
