Merchant & Gould expands office in New York

IP law firm Merchant & Gould PC has appointed two new people to its New York office.

Lee Goldberg and Benjamin Graf both join from Goldberg Cohen LLP, as partner and associate respectively.

Goldberg founded the boutique IP law Goldberg Cohen. He is an experienced litigator and has led prosecutions in design patents, trademark, trade dress and copyright disputes.

He has represented a well-known baby product company, and also companies in the pharmaceutical, food packaging and software industries. Before founding Goldberg Cohen, he was a partner at Darby & Darby PC.

Graf has worked in all IP-related matters, specialising in litigation and prosecution.

Brian Batzli, chief executive of Merchant & Gould, said: “Lee and Ben’s extensive experience in technologies, products and intellectual property matters are a great addition to the firm. With them, our New York office is now full service, offering litigation, client counselling, prosecution, and opinion work.

“We’re very pleased to have them join our team,” he added.
