McCarter & English promotes four to partner

Law firm McCarter & English has promoted Mark Anania, Daniel Brown, Marcie Clarke and Sean MacDavitt to partner in the firm’s intellectual property practice.

Anania works in the firm’s Newark office and has experience in post-grant proceedings under the America Invents Act.

Brown is based in the firm’s Wilmington, Delaware office and focuses his practice on patent-related competition claims.

Clarke works in Boston and her experience includes patent prosecution. MacDavitt focuses on patent rights for clients in the semiconductor industry.

The promotions are part of nine across the firm.

Michael Kelly, chairman of the firm, said: “Each of our new partners has been a success for the benefit of our firm and, more importantly, for our clients.”
