Marshall Gerstein promotes two to partner

US-based law firm Marshall Gerstein & Borun has promoted Andrew Bateman and Matthew Carey as partners in the firm’s electrical and computer technologies group in Chicago, Illinois.

Bateman has experience in protecting patent portfolios for clients in the software, communication, medical devices and insurance industries.

Carey’s practice focuses on patent strategies, prosecution and procurement services. His clients include companies in the IT and financial derivatives industries.
