Law firm Marks & Clerk has elected Maureen Kinsler as chairman of Marks & Clerk International and David Ward as managing partner of the firm’s patent and trademark attorney firm.
They are based in the Edinburgh and Birmingham offices, respectively.
Kinsler (pictured below, left) has experience in representing clients in the electronics and software industries, and is also a chartered European patent attorney. Ward (pictured below, right) is a chartered and European patent attorney and has represented clients in the food technology industries.
They were promoted after Keith Hodkinson and Bob Naismith stepped down from their positions at the end of 2015.
Kinsler said: “This is a very exciting time to become chairman of Marks & Clerk’s international business. We have a young partnership, a strong reputation and a wide and diverse client base”
Ward added: “I am delighted to be taking on the responsibility of UK managing partner.”
