Lynde & Associés appoints managing partner

IP law firm Lynde & Associés has appointed Jean-Michel Flu as its new managing partner.

Flu joins the Paris-based firm after leaving his role with the French Patent and Trademark Office, where he worked as director of trademarks and designs before being director of legal and international affairs.

He participated in the negotiations for the implementation of the unitary patent and Unified Patent Court, as well as the reform of trademark law in Europe.

Flu also worked as vice president of IP for four years while working at Japan Tobacco International.

He was also vice-chairman of the Association of Trademarks and Designs Rights Practitioners, and a member of the board of directors at both the European Patent Office in Munich and the European Union Intellectual Property Office in Alicante.
