King & Wood Mallesons adds IP litigation specialist


Law firm King & Wood Mallesons has hired intellectual property litigation specialist Matthew Swinn as a partner to its IP practice.

matthew-swinn-m-s.jpgSwinn (pictured left), who joins the firm’s Melbourne office, was previously at Australian law firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth. Known for specialising in patent litigation, he has also represented companies in matters including trademark, copyright and trade secret disputes.

Peter Pether, national head of the dispute resolution practice at the firm, said: “We are delighted to welcome Matthew to the practice as we continue to focus on the increasing intellectual property needs in key growth markets domestically and internationally.”
