IP software firms Anaqua and Lecorpio merge

Anaqua and Lecorpio, two US-headquartered IP software firms, revealed plans to merge yesterday, July 25.

Anaqua, a provider of IP management and analytics solutions, will consolidate with Lecorpio, a developer of end-to-end IP management software.

Jay Madsen will be stepping down from his current role as CEO of Lecorpio and Bob Romeo, CEO of Anaqua, will lead the combined business.

The merged entity will focus its efforts on “powering corporations and law firms with the tools to streamline operations, gain insight, and maximise the value of IP assets”.

The company will continue to operate both brand names and support both software platforms while maintaining its existing presence in the US, Europe, and Asia.

Romeo said: “With our shared mission, and with histories well-rooted in technology and innovation, we will offer clients an unprecedented ability to drive productivity and align IP to their businesses.”

Madsen added: “This merger represents the integration of the industry’s top two IP software companies capitalising on the growing demand for intelligent IP management solutions.”
