IP protection specialist joins Perkins Coie

US law firm Perkins Coie has hired a partner to its New York office.

Sean Grygiel, previously a principal at law firm Fish & Richardson, will join the firm’s IP practice.

Grygiel assists both multinational and start up companies with developing and protecting their patent and trademark portfolios. He has represented companies in the energy, mechanical and telecommunications sector.

Paul Parker, chair of Perkins Coie’s IP practice, said: “With experience developing high-value assets for early-stage technology companies, and as co-founder of his own start up, Sean is particularly skilled at handling the critical issues with managing and protecting IP.”
