For each day of the INTA annual meeting in San Diego, WIPR will be speaking to delegates for a 60-second chat about their experiences so far. Today we speak to Gerald Samuel (pictured), a director at patent and trademark attorney firm Marks & Clerk’s Malaysia office.
WIPR: What are you looking to get out of INTA?
GS: Meet my clients and contacts as well as renewing old friendships and meeting new people.
WIPR: What’s the best thing about the conference?
GS: The location is great and so is the weather.
WIPR: What’s been your most enjoyable INTA?
GS: This is my sixth INTA and it has been one of the best so far. I’d say it is tied with San Francisco (in 2011).
WIPR: What’s the best reception you have been to?
GS: Either Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear or De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek.
WIPR: What’s your tip for surviving the conference?
GS: Prepare yourself in advance, make sure you know where each session or meeting is because you might have to walk a long way. And don’t drink too much, at least not too early in the day!
