Intellectual property barrister Henry Carr QC has been appointed as a judge at the English High Court.
He will join the Chancery Division of the high court on October 1, the Courts and Tribunals Judiciary announced yesterday, August 3.
Carr currently works at 11 South Square, a barristers’ chambers. He has experience in patent, trademark and design litigation.
The appointment was praised on social media with one lawyer taking to Twitter to welcome the appointment.
