Harness Dickey hires former ExxonMobil counsel

IP law firm Harness, Dickey and Pierce has hired David Weisberg, a former counsel to ExxonMobil Research & Engineering Company.

Weisberg, a patent attorney, joins the firm as an of counsel in its Dallas office.

His practice will focus on preparing and prosecuting patents for clients in the biopharmaceutical and chemical industries.

He will also provide counsel to his clients on global portfolio management, licensing and monetisation strategies, as well as  freedom to operate analyses.

Gerald Welch, principal at the firm, said: “David is an experienced patent attorney with outstanding legal talent and a real ability to adapt to new industries and technologies. Our clients will benefit greatly from his skills.”
