Gowling WLG promotes six to partner in Canada

Law firm Gowling WLG has promoted Timothy Bailey, Melissa Binns, Michelle Easton, Kevin O’Neill, Michael O'Neill and Benoit Yelle as partners in the firm’s intellectual property and patents practice in Canada.

The lawyers are based in the firm’s Calgary, Ottawa and Montréal offices.

Bailey’s experience includes patents, trademarks and filing strategies, while Binns focuses her practice on patent and trademark enforcement and litigation, pharmaceutical regulatory law, and copyright litigation and licensing.

Easton has experience in trademark searching, prosecution, opposition and cancellation proceedings.

Kevin O'Neill focuses on patent and industrial design prosecution.

Michael O’Neill has appeared before the Trademarks Opposition Board and the Federal Court of Canada.

Yelle’s practice focuses on patent cases for clients in the telecommunications industry.

The promotions are part of 19 across the firm.
