US-based law firm Goldberg Kohn has hired Marsha Hoover as principal and group chair of the firm’s intellectual property practice in Chicago.
Hoover joins from Marshall Gerstein & Borun, where she worked as partner.
Her practice focuses on trademark, copyright, trade secrets and identity rights issues.
Hoover’s clients include companies in the publishing and entertainment industries.
Ken Ulrich, chair of the firm’s litigation group, said: “We are excited to welcome an attorney of Marsha’s exceptional skill and experience to lead our IP practice.
“As client demand for the full range of IP-related services continues to increase, it is imperative that we grow this practice and anticipate our clients’ future IP needs. Marsha’s keen understanding of this space makes her the ideal person to lead the way for Goldberg Kohn,” he added.
