Law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher has expanded its intellectual property practice by hiring John Squires as a partner.
Squires joins from law firm Perkins Coie, where he also worked as a partner.
He has experience in IP matters such as patent assets, licensing, IP due diligence, financial technology, data privacy and cyber security.
Squires will work in the firm’s New York office.
Ken Doran, chairman and managing partner of the firm, said: “We welcome John to the firm ... And given his previous in-house roles as chief IP counsel at Goldman Sachs and Honeywell, John is uniquely positioned to provide invaluable insight to our clients seeking strategic advice regarding their IP portfolios and IP-related issues.”
