Fox Rothschild's New York IP practice grows

Fox Rothschild LLP has welcomed partners Tim Mandelbaum, Michael L. Reinert and Monika A. Tashman to its New York office.

The new additions in Manhattan complement the east coast presence of practice co-chair Lori Landew and offer service synergy with Los Angeles-based practice co-chair Darrell D. Miller. The attorneys will expand service offerings to the firm’s diverse range of entertainment industry clients.

Prior to joining Fox, Mandelbaum held his own private practice, Selverne Mandelbaum and Mintz LLP, for 16 years and also served as head of business and legal affairs for EMI Records. As an experienced IP and entertainment attorney, Mandelbaum regularly negotiates contracts and handles matters regarding copyrights, trademarks and other branding tools for his clients.

Reinert has worked with many platinum-selling artists as a private practitioner and as legal counsel to Atlantic Records, Electra Records, as vice president of business affairs at PolyGram Records, and most recently, as executive vice president of business and legal affairs at the Universal Motown Republic Group of UMG Recordings, Inc.

Tashman is well versed in the ins and outs of brand development and takes a holistic approach to her clients’ business and legal affairs. She counsels multi-platform talent, child entertainers and dynamic entrepreneurs in legal and contractual issues, advocating and negotiating on her clients’ behalf, while assessing and defending against possible copyright, trademark infringement and contract claims.
