Former Volvo exec to head Awapatent’s new department

Intellectual property consultancy firm Awapatent has launched a new department specialising in IP strategy.

Henrik Olsson, the former global IP director in the Volvo Group, will join the Swedish firm to lead the IP strategy services department.

The department’s scope will include developing and supporting clients’ IP operations.

“The IP strategy field is something we already work with, and with this drive we will be able to meet the market’s needs even better,” said Magnus Hallin, CEO at Awapatent.

Olsson will be based at Awapatent’s Gothenburg office and returns to the firm after a number of years in the industry.
