Former ITC judge joins Hogan Lovells
Hogan Lovells has revealed that former US International Trade Commission (ITC) administrative law judge Theodore Essex has joined the firm’s intellectual property litigation practice in Washington, DC.
Judge Essex sat on the ITC bench since October 2007.
He is also a lecturer in law at George Washington University Law School, and a co-author of a chapter on ITC mediation in one of the American Bar Association’s books on alternative dispute resolution.
Commenting on his move, Judge Essex said: “The Hogan Lovells brand is internationally recognised for its deep bench of strong lawyers and its long history of experience in intellectual property and trade matters.
“While at the ITC, I was steeped in intellectual property law and focused on adherence to that law and its application to the facts of each case I heard. I am excited to now bring that experience to clients.”
