EIP strengthens IP litigation practice
Intellectual property firm EIP has appointed IP lawyer Robert Lundie-Smith from McDermott Will & Emery UK LLP (MWE) in London.
Lundie-Smith will be part of the IP litigation practice, EIP legal, and will work alongside the head of EIP legal, Gary Moss, who joined the firm in October 2011 from MWE.
Lundie-Smith worked alongside Moss at MWE for almost three years after joining that firm from the Bar in early 2009. At the Bar, Lundie-Smith had been instructed before the Patents County Court and the High Court, including as junior counsel in the trials of Armour Group Plc v Leisuretech Electronics Pty Ltd andVestergaard Frandsen AS & Anor v Bestnet Europe Ltd & Ors.
Lundie-Smith’s practice focuses on contentious and non-contentious IP matters. He has extensive experience in advising in disputes (both High Court and Court of Appeal) relating to patents, trademarks, copyright, designs and confidential information in several industries.
He also has experience of proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union and has been involved in actions concerning special protection certificates.
EIP Legal deals with all aspects of IP litigation and dispute resolution, licensing, technology transfers and commercial agreements, with particular technical expertise in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, telecommunications and information technology.
