EIP adds two co-managing partners

Law firm EIP has hired Mallary de Merlier and promoted Nick Transier as co-managing partners in the firm’s San Diego office.

De Merlier joins from US law firm Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear and has experience in patent litigation, trademarks and trade secrets.

She has represented clients in the molecular biology and diagnostics industries.

Transier has worked at EIP since 2013 and has experience in patent litigation for clients in the telecommunications industry.

Jerome Spaargaren, partner at the firm, said: “Thanks in large part to the leadership of Nick and Mallary, EIP has been able to expand our US presence and strengthen our relationships with US clients.”
