DLA Piper adds to Florida IP team
DLA Piper LLP has added to its Miami office by appointing Jeremy Elman as partner in the IP and technology practice and patent litigation group.
Elman, who has experience litigating patent cases in courts across the US, has represented companies in the technology, consumer electronics, gaming and media sectors.
John Allcock, global co-chair and US chair of the firm’s IP and technology practice, said Elman is a “highly respected and renowned patent litigator” who will be “instrumental” in the key venue of south Florida.
Elman, who joins from McDermott Will & Emery LLP, has also handled trade secret, trademark and copyright matters.
“South Florida has become one of the nation’s top 10 jurisdictions for patent litigation in the US, and we look forward to having Jeremy play an influential role as the industry continues to grow in this region,” said Craig Rasile, managing partner of the Miami office.
DLA Piper is a global law firm with more than 4,000 lawyers in more than 30 countries throughout the US, Europe and the Middle East.
