DLA Piper adds five to its IP team
Four lawyers have moved from Jones Day LLP in China to join the IP and technology group at DLA Piper LLP.
Horace Lam (pictured), a former partner at the Beijing office of Jones Day, will join as head of IP in China, bringing with him a team of lawyers.
Lam, who has represented multi-national companies on all types of IP matters in China, focuses his practice on issues such as disputes, protection strategies and licensing.
Prior to joining Jones Day in May 2011, Lam was the managing partner at the Beijing office at Hogan Lovells LLP where was also head of its China IP practice.
Also joining Lam from Jones Day is Stacy Yuan as counsel and associates Alicia Ma and Helen Ding. Miya Wen from Rouse will make up the team of five.
Richard Wageman, DLA Piper's Asia group head for IPT, said Lam is recognised as a “commercially minded, well-established lawyer.”
“His appointment will bolster our Asia IP offering enabling us to further develop and expand our IP capabilities for our clients in Asia, Europe and the US," Wageman added.
The group will take up their new positions in October.
