Dentons hires partner in London

Law firm Dentons has hired Justin Hill as a partner and head of the firm’s patent prosecution and opposition practices in Europe.

Hill joins from law firm Olswang, where he worked as head of patents.

He has experience in the procurement, exploitation and enforcement of intellectual property rights, as well as the preparation and prosecution of UK, EU and international patent applications and designs.

In a statement, Brandon Ransley, UK managing partner, said: “Justin brings heavyweight patent filing experience to the UK team, adding to the patent litigation experience of Campbell Forsyth who joined the firm earlier this year.

Ransley added that clients from the US and Asia increasingly require patent advice in Europe, and Hill’s “arrival enhances our capacity to meet this demand, while also representing a further step towards achieving our objective of building a leading global patent capability”.
