The Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA) inaugurated its new president, Catherine Wolfe, in London on April 19, 2012.
At the inauguration Wolfe set out her priorities for the medium term. She said ITMA is developing a “non-core skills” programme with the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys aimed at both organisations’ members. The initiative focuses on confidentiality, ethics, employment law, company law and record management.
Wolfe, who replaces Maggie Ramage as president, said her long-term goal was to reduce ITMA’s carbon footprint. “I hope ITMA can help make the planet a better place. ITMA will be looking into carbon measurement and tracking and offsetting, so we can be greener, with a smaller footprint,” she said.
Wolfe qualified as a registered trademark attorney and European attorney in 1997. She is a partner at Boult Wade Tennant.
