Burns & Levinson adds partner to its IP group

Burns & Levinson has appointed Peter McLaughlin, a cybersecurity and data privacy attorney, as a partner in the firm’s IP group.

McLaughlin brings with him nearly 20 years of experience advising US and international clients on how to handle corporate and personal information and how to comply with cybersecurity, privacy, and data protection standards.

He formerly served as of counsel with DLA Piper in Boston.

David Rosenblat, managing partner at Burns & Levinson, said: “Privacy and data security are issues that our clients across all industries are grappling with, and Peter brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our clients.”

McLaughlin is the fifth IP partner that the firm has brought on in four months.
