Law firm Blank Rome has taken on more than 100 lawyers from the Washington, DC and New York offices of the now defunct Dickstein Shapiro.
In total, 90 attorneys have joined Black Rome’s Washington, DC office while 13 have joined the New York office.
In a statement on its website Dickstein Shapiro, which has folded, says it “no longer engaged” in the practice of law.
Jeffrey Sherwood, formerly of Dickstein Shapiro, joins as co-practice group leader of the intellectual property group.
Alan Hoffman, Blank Rome’s managing partner, said: “In line with our current strategic plan, this is the latest in a robust series of targeted lateral hires, acquisitions, and combinations that our firm has successfully completed in recent years.”
