Bird & Bird hires partner in Poland

Bird & Bird LLP has hired Malgorzata Darowska as a partner in its Polish office.

Darowska, who will work across the IT and IP practices, has advised clients in sectors such as financial services, energy and life sciences. She specialises in technology transfer and commercialisation, as well as consumer protection and IP.

Darowska joins from law firm Dentons, and her appointment means there are now four partners in Bird & Bird’s Poland office.

Maciej Gawroński, head of the Polish office, said: “We are excited to welcome Malgorzata to the team in Poland, [and] her appointment enables us to continue strengthening our IT and IP expertise in both the Polish market and the wider global community. With the addition of Małgorzata, we will continue the development of the IT practice, particularly in the energy sector and financial services.”

Darowska said: “I am delighted to have joined Bird & Bird. The firm has a clear sector focus, a large and growing team of experts, and an international reach with specialties in IT, new technology and IP which offers unique opportunities for development in my field of practice.”
