Arnstein & Lehr hires partner in Chicago
US-based law firm Arnstein & Lehr has hired Marcus Harris as a partner in the firm’s IP practice group in Chicago.
Harris joins from law firm Marcus Stephen Harris, where he worked as an attorney.
He focuses his practice on technology and software licensing, software development agreements and confidentiality matters.
Harris also worked as senior corporate counsel at software company SSA Global Technologies (now known as Infor).
In that role he developed and managed patent and trademark portfolios, conducted IP due diligence and managed IP litigation.
The move is one of two hires at the firm.
Michael Gesas, the firm’s managing partner in Chicago, said: “Our business clients are focused on the key transactions that protect and grow their enterprises, so we’re pleased to be bringing on board two more talented attorneys in these important areas: IP and corporate transactions.”
