Arnold & Porter hires eight-person IP team


Law firm Arnold & Porter has hired four partners as part of an eight-person addition to its intellectual property team.

The lawyers, all litigators, join the firm’s Silicon Valley office. They arrive from law firm Agility IP Law which, according to its website, has now closed down.

james-ottenson-m-s.jpgThe four partners are James Otteson (pictured left), David Caine, Thomas Carmack and Philip Marsh.

Otteson focuses on all areas of IP and has represented clients in federal trial and appellate courts, while Caine has litigated before the International Trade Commission and dealt with arbitrators and mediators in technology cases.

Carmack focuses on patent, trade secret and commercial litigation, and Marsh is a patent specialist, who has represented clients in numerous technology-related cases.

Also joining the firm are David Lansky and Jed Phillips as senior attorneys, and Vinh Pham and Michael Nguyen as associates.
