Alston & Bird promotes four to partner

Law firm Alston & Bird has promoted Shri Abhyankar, Xavier Brandwajn, Christopher Douglas and Matthew Howell in the firm’s intellectual property litigation practice and IP patent prosecution practice groups.

The lawyers work in the firm’s Atlanta, Silicon Valley and Charlotte offices.

Abhyankar has experience in patent infringement suits before the International Trade Commission (ITC).

Brandwajn’s practice focuses on patent, trade secret, copyright and trademark law and Douglas has represented clients in the software and telecommunications industries.

Howell has represented clients in the biological industry before the US Patent and Trademark Office, the ITC and US federal and state courts.

The promotions are part of a total of 20 appointments across the firm.
