Akerman adds four litigators, two in IP

US law firm Akerman has added four litigators, two of whom are in intellectual property, to its Chicago office.

Dean Dickie (pictured below, left), who joins as partner to the firm’s litigation practice group, has experience in commercial litigation, patent infringement, and trade dress, trademark and anti-competition matters.

Ryan Williams (pictured below, right) joins as an associate, and has experience in litigation matters, including patent infringement cases.

The two other litigators are Catherine Miller and Jeffrey Mayer, who have joined the firm’s restaurant industry group.

Lawrence Rochefort, chair of the national litigation practice group, said: “Our new litigators bring a new dimension of experience to the Chicago team and further our ability to serve clients nationally in a combination of complex disputes across the intellectual property, real estate and restaurant sectors.”
