Huw Moses’s practice includes all aspects of Intellectual Property protection, enforcement and dispute resolution, specializing in the Caribbean. Huw is a member of various Cayman Islands Government Committees on IP reform. He has advised the government on the drafting of new copyright and trade mark laws. From 1984 until 1993 Huw was a solicitor in the UK practicing with Lovells (now Hogan Lovells). In 1993 he moved to the Cayman Islands where he joined a local firm which in due course became part of one of the largest offshore law firms in the world. In 2003 Huw became the Managing Partner of the Cayman office until he left to form the HSM Group in 2012. The firm’s memberships include INTA, ITMA, AIPPI and IPCA. Huw has attended the annual INTA meeting every year for over 15 years along with several other members of HSM IP. Huw has also played a key role in setting up the Intellectual Property Caribbean Association (IPCA).

Sophie Davies’ practice includes all aspects of Intellectual Property protection, enforcement and dispute resolution, specializing in the Caribbean. She manages a team of highly skilled and professional IP Paralegals. Sophie joined HSM IP in January 2015 after working as a Solicitor specializing in Intellectual Property litigation at King & Wood Mallesons’ London office (formerly SJ Berwin LLP) since March 2010. Sophie also completed her training contract at SJ Berwin LLP during the period February 2008 to February 2010 and undertook seats in the Finance, Media (with a focus on Film Finance), Intellectual Property and Corporate departments and also at Parliament under the supervision of Jonathan Djanogly MP. Sophie’s responsibilities include portfolio management, advising clients on matters of trade mark, copyright, design and patent law, drafting and reviewing assignments, licences and settlement agreements and handling all IP related disputes. Sophie works on the committee responsible for drafting new IP legislation in the Cayman Islands and is also a member of the Intellectual Property Caribbean Association (IPCA), AIPLA and MARQUES. Sophie contributes regularly to WIPR, Kluwer Brown Books, and Trademarks Throughout the World.
