Begoña Cancino, Partner
Ms. Cancino counsels clients from all kinds of industries with the protection and enforcement of their IP rights in México, assisting also with the transfer of IP portfolios within the context of complex corporate transactions involving all sorts of IP rights (trademarks, copyrights and appellations of origin), as occurred within the acquisition of Tequila Don Julio by Diageo, where she participated from the revision and drafting of IP related contracts (i.e. copyright releases, licenses, collaboration, work made for hire and trademark assignments and distribution agreements). Ms. Cancino also provides assistance on regulatory and advertising, assessing our clients comply with all applicable provisions with COFEPRIS and PROFECO.

Ms. López is a member of the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI) and the International Trademark Association (INTA).
